ASSEMBLY is a contemporary Australian design retailer curating furniture, lighting and objects for considered everyday spaces. We look for pieces with clear intent — an honest structure, a material that improves with use, a proportion that sits quietly in a room.
How we select
Material first
Solid timber, stone, ceramic, linen and metal. Materials that carry marks rather than hide them, and that can be repaired instead of replaced.
Proportion over statement
A chair should read as a chair from across the room. We favour restraint in silhouette so pieces can move between homes and rooms over time.
Made to be lived with
Removable covers, serviceable joinery, finishes that can be re-oiled. Longevity is a design decision, not a marketing claim.
One coherent collection
Everything we carry should sit together. Nothing is added simply to widen the range.

ASSEMBLY is a fictional brand created by North Studio to explore how a considered Australian design retailer could look and behave online. The products, prices and collection stories are invented. Nothing on this site can be purchased, and no payment details are ever collected.
